Maurya Kala Parisar announces Maurya Manch 2019 to be held on 11th January 2019 at ICSK Auditorium, Khaitan

Maurya Kala Parisar, Kuwait is presenting  its biennial event a cultural evening “Maurya Manch 2019” on Friday, 11 January, 2019, at ICSK, Khaitan auditorium. Depiction of culture of eastern India along with an entertaining variety show is the theme.

During its 23 years of its presence in Kuwait  Maurya Kala Parisar had organized Maurya Manch on every year which was chaired by some well known persons of Bihar & Jharkhand. In year 2015 MKP had celebrated its 20 years by inviting a special guest Mr. Anand Kumar Founder and Head of “Ramanujan School of Mathematics”. The school runs evening classes for mathematics and “Super30” which selects 30 meritorious talents from among the economically backward sections of the society and shapes them for India’s most prestigious institution – the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT). The event was attended by Association members, students and parents and received coverage in newspapers in Kuwait and in India.

Continuing the tradition in year 2016 Padma Shri Dr C P Thakur, from Bihar who revolutionized the concept of treatment of Kala-azar and is recognized as an international authority in this field, author of many books on medicine and winner of Dr. B. C. Roy National Award, Indian Medical Council.  H.E. Sunil Jain, The Ambassador of India to Kuwait chaired the event.

In the last 23 years, Maurya Kala Parisar has strived to bring glimpses of region’s history and culture both ancient and modern to the Indian Diaspora in Kuwait. It is a challenge to do it while maintaining the fun quotient to keep the audience entertained and engaged. Therefore, Maurya Manch 2019 will also be a mix of culture heritage of the region along with entertainment inspired by most popular Hindi film music and dance.

Mr. Anand Kumar, Chief Guest for Maurya Manch 2015 had quipped, “A treat to watch, can’t believe not presented by professionals. I’m surprised and thrilled people away from their land of birth are able to maintain and spread their culture.”

This year there will be dance play and music will be quizzes on the region, presentation of Dinkar Poetry by student winners and display of paintings made by students on the region.

Maurya Kala Parisar, founded in the year 1995 and registered with Indian Embassy in Kuwait is a highly active association of people from the Indian states of Bihar and Jharkhand. It is dedicated to promote arts, culture and heritage of the region through events and activities of interest to Indian Community in Kuwait.

It conducted a highly successful event 5th Ethnic Food Festival for all families from Indian Community this year on \november 23, 218. The day witnessed weather disruptions but Maurya Kala was able to bring the event due to the support of the participants who presented exotic dishes from Eastern Region of India..
