Maurya Kala Announces 20th Anniversary Celebration:

 “Maurya Manch”, to be held in Indian Embassy Auditorium in January

MKP Anniversary LogoMaurya Kala Parisar, Kuwait completes 20 years! Mr. S. Ritwik one of the founding members recollects the history of this active organization. Fondly known as Maurya, the association represents people and culture related to the East Indian states of Bihar and Jharkhand. It has been engaged in socially meaningful and wholesome events for adults and children. Events like Maurya Manch stage shows, Dinkar Poetry awards and Mushaira, Rajendra Prasad Debate Competition, East India Food Festival etc. have become some of the most awaited events in Kuwaiti calendar.

In a packed conference the Mr. Afroz Alam the association Vice President and internationally renowned Urdu poet announced the 20th anniversary celebratory event, Maurya Manch, would be held on 15 January 2016. The venue is the Indian Embassy auditorium. The hard working Secretary, Mr. Abhay Kashyap informed it will have variety stage presentations by children and adults, auditions and rehearsals have already started. The organizing
committee plans to invite dignitaries and celebrities from India. Also past Maurya presidents and members from different parts of the world are likely to visit to attend the function.

In the previous stage show too hall was full to the capacity with audience enjoying themselves on the quality of entertainment offered, the event was inaugurated by the Ambassador of India to Kuwait, HE Sri Sunil Jain. “Maurya Manch 2014” a variety show presented by Maurya Kala Parisar, Kuwait on the evening of Friday, November 21, 2014, at Indian Embassy (Kuwait) Auditorium, a huge success.

The organizing committee plans to do even better this time. It comprises of members of Advisory Committee M/s S. Ritwik, VK Sinha, Shakir Khan, Arshad Wali, and Shailesh Mishra. Others include Mrs. Divya Ritwik, Mrs. Nivedita Sinha, Mrs. Neetu Sinha, M/s Afsar Khan, Neeraj Ranjan, Nitin Prabhakar, Santosh Raj, Devesh Kumar, Afroz Alam, Abhay Kashyap, Ramesh Kumar, Sabir Ansari, Zafar Siddiqui, Vivek Sinha, Mohd. Mahtabuzzamn, Sayed Shabih, Shahnawaz Mirza, Rohit Deo, and Ujwal Ritwik.

Maurya Kala Parisar is a cultural and social association of people connected to the Indian state of Bihar and Jharkhand, active since 1995.The association, registered with Indian Embassy in Kuwait is dedicated to promotion of arts, culture and social service among Indian community in Kuwait. The organization gets its name from the Maurya Dynasty of Patliputra of ancient India. 

Among3 the most active bodies in Kuwait, the association has conducted several cultural and sports events this year, which have been firsts of its kind. Ethnic Food Festival showcased popular cuisines of eastern India, Sports & Wellness Day which also marked the beginning of Yoga Classes are some of the other events conducted in the year 2014
