Some of you probably know this. On the northern flank of river Ganga since more than two thousand years stands an iron pillar. Pillar of Ashok, pinnacle where we belong. Bihar, Jharkhand and neighboring areas of culture and science. Elected as the new Executive Committee of Maurya Kala Parisar, we were both humbled and challenged by where we come from and what we saw as an opportunity to envigor our association’s work.
Apart from providing a social mooring the larger purpose of Maurya is building of the most positive qualities of individuals, especially the children: optimism, courage, work ethic, future-mindedness, interpersonal skill, the capacity for pleasure and insight, and social responsibility. With this in mind we started with a long list of expectations and quickly set out acting on a set of priority agenda items. Social gatherings Diwali Dhamaka and Naya Sal Nayee Subah were aimed to bring the member families together. We also worked on social initiatives such as ‘Patna Direct Flight’ project.
We thank sponsors, for their generous support, volunteers and members of organizing committee and above all members with whose help we seeks to transform a few accomplishments into a lasting movement
